Congratulations to Jolie Lombardo, 16 yrs old – winner of the YAGP Junior Gold Medalist who courageously had spinal surgery and is dancing better than ever!
Congratulations to our newest Angel Shine scholar, Jolie Lombardo, 16 yrs old, at John Cranko School at the Stuttgart Ballet in Germany. After winning gold at ADC|IBC and Junior Gold Medalist at Youth America Grand Prix, Jolie discovered she had a tumor on her spine and had to undergo spinal surgery. Without the surgery, she had a 100% chance of being permanently paralyzed. Fortunately, the surgery was successful. With her hard work and determination, Jolie is dancing better than ever. Jolie’s amazing courage, unique talent and incredible resilience over adversity is an inspiration to us all. We are so glad that your spinal surgeon helped heal you so that you can live your destiny.
“Mrs. Allyson Tang, when I received your scholarship – I couldn’t believe that you would do something so wholeheartedly and kind for someone you have never met. My heart just melted and I started crying. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. You will never know exactly how much this means to me, and I am so grateful!”
Jolie’s scholarship is awarded in loving memory of my German husband, Dr. Thomas Widmann who was a courageous visionary with a humble spirit.
He dedicated his life to science and medicine, saving countless patients’ lives.
